We have 2 surplus 5 ton military vehicles which are converted for firefighting capabilities and rescue in flood prone areas and our hall is a secondary shelter, when needed, for use during a natural disaster.
The AVFC #1 provides mutual aid to our neighboring towns of Wildwood City to the south and Stone Harbor to the north when called upon to do so.
Per NJ Division of Fire Safety requirements, all active members are certified in Firefighter 1 and CPR while some members continue to study advanced training and all Fire Police members have attended Certified Fire Police Training.
