Each year the Anglesea Volunteer Fire Company hosts a two-in-one event known as “The New Jersey State Barbecue Championship and Anglesea Blues Festival“. This event started by the Fire Company in 1999 has grown to the third largest event in the Wildwood’s and benefits the entire island.
Proceeds from the event are used to maintain our facilities and fire equipment as wells as allow us to provide scholarships and other funding to worthwhile charities.
The Anglesea Volunteer Fire Company is a member of the Five Mile Beach Firemen’s Association that operates the New Jersey Fire Expo which is held in conjunction with the New Jersey State Firemen’s Convention.
The Anglesea Volunteer Fire Company also participates in the Annual Irish Fall Festival by selling refreshments for the many visitors.
